Lena Mae is 4 months old!!

Things four month old Lena Mae loves: finger munchin' on all 5 fingers of a fist at once, tummy time (finally!), putting toys in her mouth, squealing, pulling mommy's hair, putting mommy's hair in her mouth, playing with baby friends, Daddy's face, putting other people's fingers in her mouth, baths, milk chugging, rolling, putting books in her mouth, grabbing faces with her sharp finger nails (mommy's still too afraid to clip them), being outside, music, and singing with mommy! Also, forgot to mention everything she can get her hands on goes in her mouth! 

Things four month old Lena Mae does not love: sleeping.

Pride Festival

We took Lena Mae to the Denver Pride Festival to celebrate love in all forms! 

She rocked her noise canceling headphones to protect her sweet baby ears from the live music.

Lena Mae meets Gunner!

We finally got together with our friends the Herrmann's to introduce Gunner (5 months) and Lena Mae (3.5 months). They both laughed smiled and giggled and they even held hands! We are so happy to have the Herrmann's as our friends!!

Lena has been supervising Daddy to put up backyard lights and make our outdoor living space a summer fun place to play. One day when Lena Mae goes to bed and actually stays asleep we will enjoy an outdoor evening on the patio.

Louisville Street Fair!

On Friday evenings in the summer the next town over does a special street fair with live music, games for kids, vendor booths and food! This past Friday we met many of our friends there and enjoyed a hot summer evening. Lena enjoyed an evening nap on Daddy's chest :) 

Lena Mae's friend Michael was there and as always he was looking out for her best interests! He wanted her to meet all the other babies at the fair and make new friends. He also wanted her to stay on the edge of the fair away from the main stage and loud music because that's the best place for babies! We are so lucky to have him looking out for our sweet Lena Mae!!

Lena's first marriage celebration!!

Lena Mae went with mommy and Daddy to a very special wedding celebration for our friend's Katie and Michael! They had a super special ceremony with just close family, and a celebration with family and friends the next day. We got to join them for the special reception at a fancy speakeasy in Boulder!

Lena's special party dress is a gift from Cary that she brought back form Panama! 

The celebration included a swing band and we got these headphones to protect Lena's ears and hearing. We ended up leaving before the band started but we are prepared for other summer fun events too loud for our baby.

Lena Mae Gets a Paper Letter

Lena's cousin, Bridget Mae, sent a very special paper letter that she made! She used colorful paint and horse stickers.

Lena Mae goes to play...

Lena Mae started going to Jill's house to play when mommy is at work. Daddy has been a SUPER DADDY taking care of Lena Mae through the evening, night and morning while mommy works night shift. Lena has been extra tough on Daddy and refusing to sleep... we are all looking forward to mommy starting day shits next week!!

During the day while mommy is sleeping Lena goes to Jill's house to play with Jill and a few other friends that Jill watches.

 Here is Lena on a play mat with her neighbor friend Camila only 2 weeks older. They have spent most of their first few months of life together! 

We are so sad Camila's family is moving off our street but so glad the girls get to play together at Jill's!

Good Morning!!

Lena Mae sure knows how to rock some CRAZY morning hair! We love to snuggle this baby even if she does wake up in the wee morning hours.

 Lena Mae is wearing her sundress for a warm summer day! We went to mom's group and saw so many baby friends!!

Exercise!!

 Mommy and Lena went to a stroller workout class!! There were over 60 strollers in the park that day! We sang songs as the mommies hopped, jumped, lunged, squatted and ran around the lake.

It was a typical Colorado day so Lena needed to be both warm and protected from the sun. Here she is in long pants, long sleeves and a sun hat!!

3 months!!

Lena is 3 months old!! The giggles and smiles continue :) Lena is babbling more and more every day! She likes looking at books, playing with toys, and giggling at herself in the mirror. Shes grabs on toys, long hair, and anything she can get her hands on!

Three months means Lena no longer wants to wear stickers on her clothes... she pulled the sticker right off before we could get a picture.

SO we had to put the sticker on the bear instead!
